This interactive demonstration with explore the beautiful constructs that emerge from the recursive process of video feedback. While video feedback does produce categories of pattern that have been explored by others such as Douglas Hofstadter, there remains the opportunity to discover new patterns and new video constructs that open the door to further exploration. Unlike digital simulations these explorations using an analogue system, are non deterministic in that the outcome can never be precisely predicted or repeated. Examples will be shown and there will be a hands-on opportunity for participants to explore the recursion within visual recursion using a simple set-up.
