{"id":1110,"date":"2011-07-13T10:24:29","date_gmt":"2011-07-13T10:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asc-cybernetics.org\/2011\/?page_id=1110"},"modified":"2011-07-13T10:24:29","modified_gmt":"2011-07-13T10:24:29","slug":"sylvia-rabelers-paper-proposal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.asc-cybernetics.org\/2011\/?page_id=1110","title":{"rendered":"Sylvia Rabeler&#8217;s Paper Proposal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><\/p>\n<h3>Cybernetic Scrying: a painterly, \u201cself-listening\/else-watching,\u201d spatial reasoning enhancement method<\/h3>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p><i>PURPOSE:<br \/>\nThe purpose of this paper is to introduce and share a formal method for cybernetic self-listening; a process by which one expands their own cognitive self-awareness and rational processes while immersed in artistic expression. <\/p>\n<p>DESIGN\/METHOLDOLOGY\/APPROACH:<br \/>\nTherapeutic scrying uses self-observed negative feedback, in an algorithmic manner, to accessing information available in one\u2019s own semi-subconscious.  It is an a-perceptive, iterative, technique which focuses on listening to, and seeing, information that is absent in the perceived environmental domain.<\/p>\n<p>RESEARCH LIMITATIONS\/IMPLICATIONS:<br \/>\nThe scope of this document is limited to cybernetics and the arts. However, this methodology has potential for use in the field of clinical art therapy.
