His international exhibitions range from the <a href=\"http:\/\/alien.mur.at\/rax\/UBIQUA\/index.html\" target=\"_new\">Venice Biennale<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/90.146.8.18\/en\/archives\/festival_archive\/festival_documentations\/festival_docu_1989.asp\" target=\"_new\">Ars Electronica<\/a>. His retrospective exhibition, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plymouthartscentre.org\/art\/2009\/roy-ascott.html\" target=\"_new\"><em>The Syncretic Sense<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em>was shown at Plymouth Art Centre in 2009, then in Korea in 2010 at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indaf.org\/e_sub02_02.asp\" target=\"_new\">Incheon International Digital Art Festival<\/a>, and \u00a0in London\u00a0 at \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacestudios.org.uk\/home\" target=\"_new\">SPACE<\/a> May\/June 2011<em>.<\/em> His theoretical work is widely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/s\/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=roy+ascott&amp;x=0&amp;y=0\" target=\"_new\">published<\/a>, translated, and referenced. He is the founding president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Planetary_Collegium\" target=\"_new\">Planetary Collegium,<\/a> an international platform for art, technology and consciousness research, based in Plymouth University, with nodes in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.m-node.org\/\" target=\"_new\">Milan<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.z-node.net\/\" target=\"_new\">Z&uuml;rich<\/a>. He has held senior academic positions in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfai.edu\/\" target=\"_new\">San Francisco<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/dma.ucla.edu\/information\/overview\/\">Los Angeles<\/a>, \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcad.edu\/\" target=\"_new\">Minneapolis<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dieangewandte.at\/jart\/prj3\/angewandte\/main.jart\" target=\"_new\">Vienna<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocad.ca\/\" target=\"_new\">Toronto<\/a>,\u00a0 and is an Honorary Professor of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.aau.dk\/\" target=\"_new\">Aalborg University<\/a>, Copenhagen, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvu.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_new\">Thames Valley University<\/a> London. He lectures worldwide. He has advised media art institutions in Australia, Europe, Japan, Korea, South America, and the USA.
