His musical compositions are informed by his studies in cognitive musicology and often focus on the performative aspects of language and music, the narrative structure of myths, emotions and rhetoric. His research also includes the interaction of music and the moving image, and temporality in the visual and musical experience.<\/p>\n<p>Ranging from futuristic cantina music heard in the film Total Recall to live experimental multimedia performances, works for large orchestra and music for ballet and the theater, his music has been performed Internationally including RedCat in Los Angeles\u2019s Walt Disney Concert Hall, UCLA\u2019s Royce Hall, Juilliard, and the Getty Center.
