Biographical Info: Robert J. Martin studied composition, computer programming, electronic music, and writing with Herbert Brun; heuristics and cybernetics with Herbert and Heinz von Foerster. His interests in composition, cybernetics, and creativity resulted in completing an interdisciplinary doctoral thesis in music and educational psychology at the University of Illinois under Herbert and Heinz. Currently a professor emeritus at Truman State University and a licensed psychologist in private practice, he has worked as a counselor/psychotherapist with children, adolescents, and adults, and as educational psychologist teaching preservice and inservice public school teachers the elements of learning, Piaget, and radical constructivism. Currently he teaches an interdisciplinary undergraduate course in creativity that includes making short videos.
